Who We Are

We offer academic programs, including:

• The Annual Colloquium and Brunch, featuring a presentation from a recent graduate of the NIP community with responses from two senior psychoanalysts over a brunch buffet;

• The Focus Series, a sequence of seminars presented throughout the academic year, which offers the NIP community and greater mental health community the opportunity to hear original papers, works in progress and/or compelling case studies; and

• The Case Presentation Series, which fosters clinical dialogue and community development among analysts at various stages of their careers.

We support NIP’s mission in a variety of ways, including:

• Co-publishing NIP’s journal, Psychoanalytic Perspectives;

• Providing need-based scholarships to NIP Candidates;
• Subsidizing NIP’s Mentorship program;

• Contributing to NIP’s Private Practice Seminar and Continuing Education events; and
• Supporting NIP’s social and cultural programming, including NIP’s Creative Salon
