– LCSW
Sasha Hare, LCSW, is a graduate of NIP’s 4 year psychoanalytic program and the one year evening program. She has two Master’s Degrees, both from NYU: one from the TISCH School of the Arts and the other from the School of Social Work. She studied Cultural Anthropology at Boston University and the School for International Training in Kenya and Nepal where she received her B.A. in 1990.
In her practice, Sasha engages with patients using an eclectic psychoanalytic approach founded in curiosity, collaboration and authenticity. Her background in anthropology configures her interest in the role of culture as a shaping force and always considers the impact of each patient’s culture in the context of the struggles they face. Sasha also has a special interest in the creative mind and memory.
Sasha is currently serving on the Board of Directors of NIPPA and is the Chair of the Annual Membership Drive. She is in private practice in Manhattan and Westchester, NY, working with adults and adolescents.
